Meet Sprog

Sprog started with two first-time parents who wanted a simpler way to keep track of all the little things that come with having a newborn.

Sprog

Having a baby changes everything. Your routines, your sleep, your priorities... even your ability to remember what you walked into a room for.

Suddenly, you're keeping track of everything: the feeds, the naps, nappies, little milestones and approximately a million other things. You're sharing updates with your partner, trying to remember what happened overnight, and wondering whether you've already told someone that your baby finally did that thing you've been waiting for.

We know, because we've been there too.

Sprog started with a simple idea: looking after your baby is a team effort, so keeping track of everything should be too.

Made by parents, for parents

We're Laura and Josh, first-time parents and the two people behind Sprog.

When we had our little girl, we quickly discovered that becoming a parent comes with an awful lot to remember, and very little spare brain space to remember it all.

Josh's solution? A spreadsheet. Naturally, everything needed to be organised, detailed and trackable, so we could analyse what was happening.

Mine? Frantically jotting things down in my phone's Notes app and hoping I'd remember where I'd put them and what those middle of the night ramblings actually meant.

Neither was quite cutting it and we were quickly getting overwhelmed during those newborn trenches.

We wanted an alternative to the baby-tracking apps already out there, with a focus on keeping things simple, accessible and fairly priced. An app that was easy to navigate, simple to understand at a glance, and gave us the information we actually wanted, without turning keeping track of our baby into another chore.

So, with Josh's experience as a software developer and Laura's background in digital marketing, we decided to build it ourselves.

Sprog is the baby tracker we wished we'd had as first-time parents: straightforward, useful and designed to make everyday family life that little bit easier.

Because there's already enough to figure out when you're raising a tiny human. Keeping track of it all shouldn't be another thing to stress about.

A little less to remember

Sprog brings your baby's everyday details together in one place, from feeds and sleep to nappies and milestones.

It's somewhere to record the little things, see what's been happening and spot patterns in your baby's routine, without having to piece everything together from memory.

Whether you're keeping track of everything yourself, sharing care with a partner, or coordinating with family, friends or other trusted carers, Sprog helps you keep the important details close at hand.

Because every family works differently. Sometimes you need to share the load, sometimes you need a reliable record to fall back on, and sometimes you just need to know when your baby last had a bottle.

Whatever your day looks like, we want Sprog to make the practical bits feel a little more manageable.

What matters to us

Simple things should stay simple.

Tracking your baby's day shouldn't feel like a chore. We want Sprog to be straightforward to use, easy to understand at a glance and helpful even when you're exhausted and running on very little sleep.

Made for real family life.

There's no single way to care for a baby. Whether you're managing everything yourself or sharing care with others, Sprog is designed to fit around your life, not make you change it to fit around an app.

Every family is different.

Different feeding choices, different routines, different circumstances and different ways of doing things. There's no single blueprint for raising a baby, and we want Sprog to work for real families as they are.

Useful, without the unnecessary extras.

We're focused on building something genuinely helpful, without making it more complicated than it needs to be. That means a clear, approachable experience and straightforward pricing, without adverts getting in the way.

Built with care.

Your family's information matters. We're committed to being transparent about how Sprog works and how your information is handled.

We're only just getting started

Sprog began with a baby tracker, but we see plenty of room to grow.

As we learn from our own experiences and those of other parents, we'd love to find more ways to make everyday family life a little easier. For now, we're focused on getting the essentials right and making Sprog genuinely useful to the people who need it.

We're building it as we go, listening to feedback and learning along the way. Your ideas, suggestions and experiences help us work out what would make the biggest difference.

We're not here to tell you how to be a parent. We're here to help you keep track of the little things, make sense of the day-to-day and spend less time trying to remember everything.

Have an idea, spotted something we could improve, or just want to say hello? We'd love to hear from you.

Little steps. Big days. ♥
